University Program

Altera Corporation in partnership with AMD, Sun Microsystems, and XtremeData has recently announced a new university program to support academic research into high-performance computing. The program features XtremeData's XD1000 Development System. This program will award a total of $1 million dollars of hardware and software to research programs involving high-performance computing applications such as, but not limited to, medical imaging, data analytics, text searches, network security, bioinformatics, and energy. Selected universities will receive a complete development system.

Eligibility: Only professors at recognized institutions are eligible to participate in the University Program.

All requests are subject to the approval of the University Program Review Committee. The committee reserves right to select the universities and the right to limit quantities. Products donated or sold through the University Program are the property of the university and remain with the university. These items are to be used for academic and/or research purposes only and not for commercial use.
